I don't have much experience with LED lights but when comparing this to a conventional flashlight the LED can not focus the light as good. The LED spreads a white light over a broader area but you can not focus the LED light to get really bright in a certain area. Other than that it is a great flashlight. The red LED's are great for night time also, probably too bright for any astronomy work but good for general use. |
